EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS

The voiceover asks Gustavo Kuerten – great tennis player and admired Federer’s friend – to help the audience discover Roger’s true nature. A nature that’s far away from the one we think of Federer. He is often portrayed as strict, calm and even cold. This wrongly attributed image has been following him through his entire career.

Joined by Zverev, Guga will take a look back on Roger’s phenomenal South American Tour – which broke the records of affluence to a tennis competition – and will talk about Roger’s infinite pleasure of playing tennis with this much audience.

Jimmy Connors will then talk about Roger’s performative taste even during important competitions! He will offer a compilation of mythical and legendary strikes struck by Federer during very serious and important tournaments.

Yannick Noah acknowledges Roger’s absolute mastering of tweening (passing the ball in between his own legs).

Quick compilation of funny moments shared between Federer and André Agassi, Jack Sock, Wawrinka…

In between tennis courts, in the lockers or right before he enters his ‘stage’ Federer loves to show a little humor. He likes to make jokes and loosen the atmosphere.

Marco Chiudinelli – Roger’s oldest friend – tells the audience funny stories of teenage Federer, always trying to make the others laugh.

Many bloopers from his commercials show that Fed has the ability to make fun of himself and make other laugh, as we can see it in the commercials he did for Mercedes, Barilla commercials and Gillette’s making off.

This episode’s tribute will be a compilation of various tennis players reenacting 5 legendary Federer strikes and selected by Gustavo. This will create a sort of « tennis legacy » for the upcoming generation. We will use a split screen montage which enables the viewer to visualize at the same time, the original Federer hit and it’s reproduction.
